Lia Eyecare is an innovative Ophthalmology startup. Our first product, NightleafTM, enables us to stimulate natural tears through a unique neurological approach helping people with dry and sore eyes. Founded from the BioInnovate Ireland programme, we are set to redefine how people prevent, treat and cure dry and sore eyes.

It is estimated that 344 million people suffer from Dry Eye Disease (DED), which is a chronic, symptomatic condition. 92% of DED patients use overnight interventions. Patients need an effective solution for overnight symptom relief need, a gap NightleafTM will fill.

Our innovative wearable NightleafTM offers a transformative solution to overnight dry eye symptom relief while also treating DED. Unlike existing methods, our approach by stimulating the appropriate tear naturally without disturbing the patient, directly addresses the core issue of lack of tear. Furthermore, our technology can evolve to be incorporated into glasses for digital eye strain and VR headsets.
